## The short version

- We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. The site partially conforms: most of it meets that level, but one requirement is not met.
- The main gap is motion. The site's animation plays for everyone and cannot be paused or turned off, and it does not follow the reduced-motion setting on your device.
- If you cannot use part of the site, tell us at support@thecomposta.com and we will help you another way, usually within 5 working days.

This summary is a guide. The numbered clauses below are the policy.

## 1.Our aim

1.1Nutrify Private Limited wants https://thecomposta.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or voice control. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. WCAG 2.2 is a W3C Recommendation and is also published as the international standard ISO/IEC 40500:2025.

## 2.How far the site conforms

2.1The site partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA. “Partially conforms” means that some content does not fully meet the standard. The known gap is described in clause 4\. We are not aware of other failures at level A or AA, but we have not had the site independently checked, so there may be some.

## 3.What we do

3.1We build the site with semantic headings, landmarks and labelled forms, a skip link to the main content, and a visible focus outline, and we check text and background colours for contrast.

3.2The menus, the quote drawer and the forms can be used with a keyboard. The open mobile menu and the quote drawer keep keyboard focus inside them until they are closed, close with the Escape key, and the drawer returns focus to where you were.

3.3Each illustrated scene is presented to assistive technology as a single image with a text description. Text can be enlarged by your browser without losing content.

## 4.Known limitations

4.1Motion. The site uses animation as part of how it tells its story, and it plays for everyone. There is no control to pause, stop or hide it, and the site does not follow your device's reduced-motion setting. Some animation starts on its own, runs alongside other content and repeats or lasts longer than 5 seconds. On some pages, illustrations and text also change as you scroll. This does not meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide), which is a level A requirement, and it is the reason the site cannot claim full conformance at level AA. It also does not meet criterion 2.3.3 (Animation from Interactions), which is level AAA and so beyond the level we aim for. Movement like this can be uncomfortable or distracting for some people, including people who are sensitive to motion or who find it hard to concentrate.

4.2The Indian standard for accessible websites that applies under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and its rules, IS 17802, is based on WCAG, so we expect this limitation to be a gap against it as well. We have chosen to keep the animation as it is for now. If movement affects you, tell us and we will give you the information on any page in plain form, without the animation.

4.3Some documents we send on request, such as quotations and specification sheets, may not be fully accessible. Ask us and we will send them in another form.

4.4Services we link to, such as WhatsApp, have their own accessibility features that we do not control.

## 5.How we assess

5.1This statement was prepared on 5 October 2026 from our own assessment. We review pages with a keyboard and check contrast and structure, and we repeat the checks when we make significant changes. We have not had the site independently audited, and we do not claim that it has been tested with every screen reader or other assistive technology.

## 6.Tell us

6.1If you find something you cannot use, or you need information in another form, write to support@thecomposta.com or phone +91 90535 19734, Mon to Sat, 9 am to 6 pm IST. Tell us the page, what happened and what device or assistive technology you use. We reply within 5 working days. If you are not satisfied, use our [Grievance redressal policy](https://thecomposta.com/legal/grievance-redressal).

## 7.Changes to this statement

7.1We will update this statement when we change the site in a way that affects accessibility, and change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
